VMI eröffnet neues Werk in Polen

VMI hat seine neue Produktionsstätte in Polen in Anwesenheit von Lukasz Borowiak (Bürgermeister von Leszno) und Alexander van der Lof (Vorsitzender des Vorstands der TKH Group) eröffnet. Die Anlage, die auf einem 8 Hektar großen Grundstück gebaut wurde, umfasst 13.500 qm Fertigungsfläche, Lager und Büros.

Aktuell sind in dem Werk 70 Mitarbeiter beschäftigt, bis Mitte 2018 sollen es über 150 Mitarbeiter werden. Die Fertigungsstätte produziert nach den neuesten Lean-Prinzipien und ist für die zukünftige Kapazitätserweiterung vorbereitet. Die VMI-Verantwortlichen bezeichnen Polen als Schlüsselelement der Wachstumsstrategie. Die neue Anlage helfe, die Lieferzeit von VMIs High-End-Geräten zu verkürzen, während ein wettbewerbsfähiges Kostenniveau beibehalten werde. Harm Voortman, President & CEO der VMI Group, kommentiert: "Diese neue Produktionsstätte bringt unsere globale Produktionskapazität in Einklang mit den aktuellen Auftragseingangsmengen und ermöglicht uns, uns auf weiteres Wachstum vorzubereiten. Avon is official tyre supplier of the Racing Series Elite

Last week, the new Racing Series Elite was presented – Avon Tyres will work as official tyre supplier. The new Jaguar F-TYPE SVR with GT4 specification was selected as official racing vehicle. There will be 20 competitors for the whole first season in 2019. The vehicles will be stored and prepared by the central operations team before and after the race.

Conti will take over Kmart Tyre and Auto Service chain KTAS

Continental will take over the Australian Kmart Tyre and Auto Service“ (KTAS) and will strengthen its network of dealers in Australia. The Australian company Wesfarmers Limited is the seller. The purchase price amounts to 350 Australian dollars (about 227 million euros).

New Uniwheels plant starts operating

The new Uniwheels Plant 4 started prematurely operating in the Polish Stalowa Wola. After finishing a testing operation in May, regular moulding operations started at the beginning of June. Originally, production start was planned for August. Currently, 250 employees produce wheels via low pressure casting on the first moulding machines in the new plant, which are then finished in a nearly fully automated process. The company plans a wheel production of 500,000 units until the end of the year.

Prometeon investiert in Ausbau der Produktionskapazitäten

Die Prometeon Tire Group, der lizenzierte Hersteller von Pirelli Lkw-, Bus-, Agro- und OTR-Reifen, will 115 Millionen Dollar) investieren in seine türkischen Produktionseinheit in Ismit investieren. Die Ankündigung erfolgte durch Gregorio Borgo, Chief Operating Officer der Prometeon Tire Group, und Alp Günvaran, CEO von Prometeon Türkei, MEA, Russland, GUS.
