Hankook has received an original equipment order for the current BMW X3. The BMW X3 is to show a dynamic and sportive outward appearance with both the Ventus S1 evo2 SUV in size 225/60 R18 104 W XL and with Hankook’s winter i*cept evo2 SUV in 225/60 R18 104 H XL. The Ventus S1 evo2 SUV received among other things an especially adapted apex under the star marking for the BMW X3.
According to company information, the strengthening layers consist of a newly developed heat-resistant hybrid tissue in order to be able to deal with the high temperatures when driving, which the Ventus S1 evo2 SUV will have to face because of its release for 270km/h. According to responsible people, this multi-layer tread construction will considerably reduce rolling resistance. “Equipping the BMW X3 after already being visible on the BMW 7 series with both our summer and winter tyres demonstrates our tyre developers’ excellent engineering performance and the high quality of our products”, said Tony Lee, Vice-President Marketing & Sales at Hankook Tire Europe. "Moreover, Hankook’s investment in its own winter testing area 'Technotrac' in Ivalo/Finland has already paid off concerning the extremely important European market. The testing area also plays a key role in the development of winter tyres for original equipment.”
