“Vehicles from the 70s, 80s and 90s, so-called modern classic cars, have experienced a growing popularity”, says Jochen Mass. “Strictly speaking, they nearly have to be considered as classic cars. Unfortunately, the manufacturers stopped producing original tyres for these vehicles. As a consequence, the owners are forced to equip their modern classic cars with modern tyres, which are often not an optimum fit from the esthetical point of view.” Vredestein’s tyres for modern classic cars will be introduced into the market under the name Sprint+ in September 2018. “There are supposed to be ten different tyre sizes for modern classic cars until the first half of 2019”, explains Michele Sala, Product Manager for Passenger Cars at Apollo Vredestein. Vredestein develops tyres for modern classic cars
Vredestein offers a broad portfolio of tyres for classic cars. Furthermore, a growing increase in tyres for modern classic cars has been noticed too. Thus, the company is expanding its offer of tyres for these vehicles. The first tyre for modern classic cars has exclusively been developed for the Audi Ur-Quattro in size 215/50 R15 and will be introduced into the market in September 2018. Jochen Mass, the former Formula 1 champion and ambassador of the brand Vredestein, supported the development.
